This odd illustration is about remembering.

I remember my grandfather's old chair and the smell of his dark brown cigarettes and his goofy smirk that made me know he liked me even though he didn't want to show it.
He had this old cuckoo clock over his chair that would make the silliest noises at certain times of the day.

I remember it being still and quiet in that house. The sound of that clock was so out of character for the rest of the environment that I felt smart for noticing.
